The Three Cape Breton Boys on the Tracks (the deaths of Kenny Novak, David Burrows, and Terry Burt,

In this episode, we revisit the tragic and puzzling deaths of three Cape Breton teenagers, Kenny Novak (15), David Burrows (17), and Terry Burt (20), who were struck and killed by a freight train in the early morning hours of July 10, 1970, in the remote woods of Maine.

Officially ruled an accident, the case was quickly closed by authorities who concluded the boys had chosen to sleep on the tracks.

We are joined by Ken Jessome, a childhood friend of Kenny and David, who has spent the last several years reigniting interest in the case through a series of articles in his community newspaper. Ken shares his personal memories of the boys, reflects on the strange details surrounding their deaths, and explains why he believes the official story doesn’t add up.

Justice for Talia Forrest (10 year old victim of drunk driver Colin Tweedie)

Cape Breton, Nova Scotia

10 year old Talia Forrest and a friend were riding their bikes on Black Rock Road when they noticed the oncoming car that seemed to be driving erratically passing back and forth across the center line.

Moments later Talia was nowhere to be seen, and the car continued on, dragging Talia's bike with it for over a kilometer.

A tip to the police would lead them to a local man, 27 year old Colin Tweedie.

Initially, his story was that his girlfriend was driving... but the story has changed many times since then. The constant, is that he believed the very much loved 10 year old girl he killed was a deer so he didn't stop.

But, Colin Tweedie isn't the only one who didn't stop. Talia's loved ones, and their army of supporters have not stopped demanding Justice for Talia.

Tonight, in this episode of Nighttime, Talia's family spokesperson Halen Williams will join me to discuss their demand for Justice for Talia Forrest.

the Story of Lionel Desmond

On Jan. 3, 2017, Afghanistan war veteran Lionel Desmond bought a semi-automatic rifle, dressed himself in camo, and snuck through the woods to his family home.

Inside he shot his mother, his wife, and his 10-year-old daughter before turning the gun on himself.

The factors that led to this horrific outcome, and the red flags missed/ignored along the way were the topics of a public inquiry that has just concluded.

In this episode a sort of eclipse in storytelling and case analysis will occur as co-host of the Sunday Night Show series, Adam Rodgers, served as the deceased Lionel Desmond's legal representative in the inquiry.

Using insight gained through the inquiry, Adam Rodgers will walk Paul Palango and I through the story of Lionel Desmond, the deaths of Lionel and his family, the search for accountability, and where we are at today.

the Disturbing Story of Dale 'Klutzy the Clown' Rancourt - 2 - a documentary that didn't age well

Dale Rancourt is a former children’s entertainer and registered sex offender who is known widely as the disgraced ‘Klutzy the Clown’,

As you heard in my prior episode while researching Rancourt's life and crime I referenced a documentary film (Big Shoes) about him, produced several years before his arrest.

As you may have expected, the film really didn't age well and not because of any creative of technical decisions Michael or Adrienne made but because it leaves out the topic that dominates any discussion about Dale Klutzy the Clown Rancourt.. the sexual offences against a child that occurred in the years after the films release.

After watching the film I was interested to hear how the filmmakers have dealt with such a spoiled creation and that’s exactly what we will get into in this episode.

In this episode of Nighttime we will be joined by Michael Fraiman and Adrian Lee and our topic is the disturbing story of Dale ' Klutzy ' Rancourt... and their documentary that really didn't age well.
